Why should I switch to Pipper Standard ® products?

Pipper Standard ® cleans effectively while keeping you and your environment safe from petrochemical contaminants.

We often overlook the fact that we constantly surrounded by chemicals, from outdoor pollution to indoor cleaning products. Overexposure to these chemicals can lead to allergies and other health issues.

While we may not have control over the pollution outside, we can control what we bring into our homes. At Pipper standard®, we believe that a healthy environment starts at home, and out natural, plant-based cleaning products are designed to protect your family without harmful chemicals.

Where did the name Pipper Standard ® come from?

'Pipper' is the childhood nickname of our Co-founder, Peter Wainman. It’s an acknowledgement of our dedication to creating products that are safe and effective for families.

‘Standard’ represents the uncompromising quality, transparency, and effectiveness we hold ourselves to – ensuring that every product meets the same high standards we would use for our own families.

Is there a difference in usage quantity of your products compared to chemical cleaners?

Our cleaning efficacy is on par with chemical cleaners, so you can use a similar amount as you would with conventional products, without worrying if it’s enough to get the job done.

Why doesn’t the Laundry Detergent produce much foam? Does that affect cleaning?

Pipper Standard® Laundry Detergent is designed with natural ingredients, which naturally produce less foam, and does not contain petrochemical surfactants, which produce excessive foam but can cause skin irritation. Despite the lower foam, it offers powerful cleaning without compromising skin and health safety.

Brown crystallization on the lids or spray head – Is this normal?

This is completely normal in natural products due to the liquid’s natural transformation process. It doesn’t affect the quality or performance of the product, and its cleaning efficacy remains just as high. Our key ingredient comes from pineapple fermentation which yields honey-liked color liquid. We don’t add any synthetic dyes to our products.

Are the products safe for everyone in my family?

Pipper Standard® range of products was created to address chemical allergies in our own home, so we understand the importance of safe products for every member of the family. All our products undergo rigorous third-party testing to ensure they are non-irritation certified, making them suitable for everyone in your family.

Our laundry detergent, fabric softener, floor cleaner (lavender scent) and bottle nipple cleaner are third party hypoallergenic certified.

How do I know that your products are truly reliable?

Pipper Standard® products are built on innovative, patented formulas with a commitment to focus on natural ingredients. Manufactured in facilities that adhere to global standards like GMO and ISO, our products also undergo third-party testing to ensure they are non-irritation certified, providing you with the highest level of reliability and safety.

There is a United States (U.S.) flag on a label on the bottle. What does it mean?

The logo with the U.S. flag on our bottles refers to the patents we’ve received in the U.S. for our fruit fermentation technology.

Is your detergent suitable for people with atopic dermatitis?

Our laundry detergent is hypo-allergenic certified by Dermscan Asia. We do not add sulfates, or fragrances. We put in 100% natural essential oil to make our laundry detergent have a pleasant scent.

What is a non-irritation test?

A non-irritation test is a clinical trial conducted to determine if a product causes any skin reactions when it comes into contact with test subjects, typically individuals with varying skin types and sensitivities. These subjects are selected to represent a wide range of skin conditions to ensure the product’s safety for general use.

What is a hypoallergenic test?

A hypoallergenic test is a clinical trial that involves the application of a skin patch to the backs of test subjects for six weeks; during this time, the formula is monitored to determine whether it triggers any immunological reactions in the body.

In our case, the trials were conducted on healthy male and female volunteers, all of whom were Asian and aged between 28 and 63 years, to represent a broad spectrum of skin sensitivities. The patch test is a critical part of the process, as it helps ensure that the product does not provoke allergic responses, providing a clear indication of its hypoallergenic properties for consumers.

Where do you get your hypoallergenic and non-irritation certifications?

Our hypoallergenic and non-irritation certification are provided by Dermscan Asia and Green Leaf, a trusted third-party laboratory specializing in dermatological testing.

Do you conduct pesticide residue tests?

We conduct pesticide residue test on our pineapples after they are thoroughly cleaned and before starting the fermentation process.

What makes pineapple a key ingredient in your cleaning products?

Pineapple is a powerful, natural ingredient rich in enzymes, natural acids, and surfactants that effectively break down dirt and tough stains, including blood stains. Its natural cleaning properties, combined with our innovative formulation, make it gentle on surfaces and tough on grease and grime, offering a safer alternative to harsh chemical cleaners.

Will the natural fermented fluid in the product attract mosquitos, bugs or ants?

Pipper Standard® products do not contain bug-attracting properties.

What if I’m allergic to pineapples? Can I still use your products?

Although our products are hypoallergenic and/or non-irritation certified for external use, we rather not recommend using them if you’re allergic to pineapples.

Our formulas contain bromelain, an enzyme found in pineapples known for its powerful cleaning properties. However, for individuals with pineapple allergies, bromelain can potentially trigger allergic reactions.

What if I’m allergic to soy? Can I still use your products?

The only Pipper Standard® product that contains product from soy is our fabric softener. While our fabric softener is hypoallergenic certified, if you’re allergic to soy, it’s best to avoid using our fabric softener, as it contains lecithin derived from soybean. We use soy lecithin to soften fabric, misuse of quats which is a petrochemical derived irritant.

Do your products contain sulfates?

Sulfates are cleaning agents that can come from either petrochemicals or plants. Sulfates may cause allergic reactions or act as skin and eye irritants depending on the formulation and concentration.

In our home care and laundry care line, our dishwashing liquid, bathroom cleaner, and stain remover contain only small amounts of plant-derived sulfate. They are also certified non-irritation by third-party dermatologists.

PRODUCTION PROCESS

Where is Pipper Standard ® manufactured?

We manufacture in Thailand. We source our pineapples from local Thai farmers, and ferment them at our local facilities to create our unique fermented fruit fluid. Other natural ingredients are added to create a diverse range of products for all your household needs.

What makes your production process different?

We are different because we start from pineapple fermentation to create pineapple fermented fluid, a base ingredient in every Pipper Standard® product.

Are your products suitable for both machine and hand wash?

Our products are suitable for both machine and hand wash.

Will the color of my clothes fade after using your detergent?

The color of your clothes should not be affected.

Can your laundry detergent be used on both adults and children’s clothing? What about delicate clothing?

Our natural laundry detergent is gentle on the skin yet tough on stains, making it suitable for both adults’ and children’s clothing. It can also be used on silk and other delicate fabrics, though we recommend hand washing for best results for delicate wash. Always follow the care instructions on your garment’s label.

How much water and detergent should I use when washing my clothes?

We recommend 30ml for front load and 40ml for top load washing machines. For hand washing, we recommend 30ml per 10 liters of water. (Our lid’s total volume is 50ml.)

How is your fabric softener different from others?

Most fabric softener contain quats (quaternary ammonium compounds), which might trigger allergies. At Pipper Standard®, we avoid using quats. Instead, our fabric softener uses fermented pineapple liquid and lecithin from soybeans to naturally soften fabrics, offering a safer and more eco-friendly alternative.

Can your stain remover remove old stains?

Old stains, especially on items that have already been washed, can be more challenging to remove. While you may see some improvement depending on the type of stains, the results are typically more effective on newer stains.

How do I clean my leather materials?

You may spray our multi-purpose cleaner onto a cloth, and use that to wipe off the stains on your leather materials. Please check your garment instructions before using.

Are your products biodegradable?

Yes, Pipper Standard® products are certified biodegradable by Thailand Textile Institute. With over 90% of our laundry detergent biodegrades within 28 days. Our packaging is recyclable.

HOME CARE

Is your dishwashing liquid safe for my baby’s dishes and utensils?

Pipper Standard® dishwashing liquid is non-toxic and safe to use on baby dishes and utensils. However, for baby bottles, we recommend our Bottle and Nipple Cleaner which is specially formulated to tackle milk residue.

Do I need to wear gloves when using your dishwashing liquid?

Our dishwashing liquid is made with natural ingredients and is certified non-irritation. It’s gentle on the skin and shouldn’t cause excessive dryness like chemical-based products, so gloves are not necessary for most users.

Can I use the dishwashing liquid in my dishwasher?

Pipper standard® dishwashing liquids are designed specifically for hand use. Dishwashing liquids for dishwashers are formulated differently, so we recommend using our products as intended for optimal results.

Can the floor cleaner also be used in my child’s room?

Pipper Standard® floor cleaner (lavender scent) is certified hypoallergenic and safe for children’s rooms.

Is your floor cleaner suitable for homes with pets?

Pipper Standard® floor cleaners are gentle and safe for pets. Many customers have noticed improvements in their pets’ skin conditions after switching to our floor cleaner.

How effective is your bathroom cleaner against germs?

Our Anti Bacteria bathroom cleaner kills 99.9% of two common bacteria: Staphylococcus aureus and Salmonella enterica. These microorganisms are widely known to cause diseases.

Do I need to wear gloves when using your bathroom cleaner?

Our bathroom cleaners are made with natural ingredients and are certified non-irritation, so wearing gloves and a face mask are not necessary.

Where can I use your multi-purpose cleaner?

Our rinse-free multi-purpose cleaner is highly versatile and can be used on various items and surfaces, including countertops, tables, furniture, play mats, car consoles, glass windows, mirrors, computer screens, phones, tables, baby toys, pet toys, and more. It effectively cuts through dirt, grease, and other residues.

Is your Bottle and Nipple Cleaner really suitable for washing fruits?

Our Bottle and Nipple Cleaner is suitable for washing fruits. Its natural ingredients make it a safe choice for cleaning fruits and vegetables, ensuring they are free from residues while maintaining their quality.

To wash fruits and vegetables, use one pump of our Bottle and Nipple Cleaner in three liters of water. Soak the produce for 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.

Can I use your Bottle and Nipple Cleaner, to clean other utensils apart from baby items?

While you can use our Bottle and Nipple Cleaner for other utensils, we recommend using our dishwashing liquid for oiler items like pans and woks. The bottle and Nipple Cleaner is specifically formulated to tackle milk stains effectively.

I have a sensitive and easily irritated skin. Can I use your natural shampoo?

Pipper Standard® Natural Shampoo is non-irritation certified made with gentle, natural ingredients, which makes it suitable for sensitive skin or scalp conditions such as irritation, itchiness, or dryness. We recommend trying it, as it’s easy to rinse out and free from harmful chemicals, dyes, silicones, and parabens.

What is Silicone?

Silicone is a chemical that coats the hair, giving a silky and smooth feel, but it doesn’t strengthen the hair. Overtime, silicone can build up at the roots, potentially causing irritation to the scalp.

Our natural shampoo and conditioner are made with natural ingredients and are free from silicone and other harmful chemicals, providing a healthier choice for your hair and scalp.

What make Pipper Standard® Natural Shampoo special?

Our natural shampoo contains bromelain, an enzyme from pineapple extract, which gently cleanses, control scalp oil, and reduces irritation. Vitamin E, sourced from sunflower oil, nourishes the hair and supports growth and strength, while organic aloe vera helps to retain moisture and revitalize both hair and scalp.

Is Pipper Standard® Natural Shampoo suitable for children?

Our natural shampoo is recommended for children aged 3 years and older. As children have sensitive skin, we suggest monitoring for any reaction after use. If any irritation occurs, discontinue and consult a doctor.

Can I use your natural shampoo if I have hair loss problem?

Pipper Standard’s Natural Shampoo is a great choice for those experiencing hair loss from chemical ingredients in hair care products.
